I have been working in Early Childhood for around 30 years and have loved every minute of it. The child's Kindy year is so full of growth - social, emotional and intellectual and I love being part of their journey from timid little people to confident individuals ready for school.

I have over 14 years experience in the early childhood field. I believe in quality play based programs for children where there is a strong sense of agency and a sense of belonging, acceptance and respect for all. After 20 years working in the Early childhood industry, I have found that the simple joy children experience in the small moments has not changed. While the world has changed in so many ways, our children remain as inquisitive and open to learning as they always have.

I was introduced to Burpengary Kindergarten back in 2008 when my eldest son attended the Kindergarten. In 2011 I took on the role of Secretary on the Committee and became aware of the running of the Kindy. In the role of Administration Officer today I am able to stay connected to our community and assist families.

An Inclusion Support educator is part of each teaching team, which enables children with additional needs to become active members of our Kindy community.
